We are a group of people from the United States and Canada who work remotely and wanted to live in Europe. We spent a while bouncing around to carefully manage the 90 days that we were allowed to spend in the EU Schengen Area. Finally, we discovered Croatia's Digital Nomad visa and successfully obtained EU Residency while still working our North American jobs. This allowed us one year of living and traveling around Europe, with the possibility of renewal at the end of the year. The process was smooth once we submitted the application, but it was extremely difficult to figure out exactly what forms and information we needed, what appointments we should attend, and how to navigate the process. We spent thousands on lawyer fees, but decided to compile the information into an affordable guide to help others through the process.
